UncannyVision Has Three Products:
UncannyCV - A computer vision/image processing library optimized for Cortex-A series ARM processors. It has around 50 most frequently used image processing/vision kernel. It uses algorithm optimizations, data-prefetching and Neon instructions to achieve speed-ups in performance varying from as low as 2x to as high as 20x.
UncannyDL - An On-Device Deep Learning library for Mobile and Embedded applications. The library supports any Convolutional Neural Network models based on the Caffe Model Zoo framework including AlexNet and GoogLeNet models. This is a cross-platform library and is available for Android, iOS, embedded Linux and RTOSes. The library has been optimized for ARM v7 and v8 architectures and runs on all ARM and Intel Smartphones.
UncannySurveillance - Award-winning AI-based Surveillance solution targeted at challenging security & analytics applications. Uncanny Surveillance enables Surveillance cameras to "see" and "understand" their environment instantly using AI/Deep Learning algorithms. At Uncanny Vision Ranjith drives product development and strategy. Ranjith was with Texas Instruments Bangalore for 11 years. He began his career working on video codecs, before switching his attention to camera firmaware, 3A algorithms and image processing and computer vision accelerator and algorithms. In 2010 he was elected to the Texas Instruments Technical ladder, for his contributions to image-processing and computer vision accelerator architecture and software. He holds a patent from USPTO for innovations in continous auto-focussing algorithm. Ranjith Parakkal completed his Bachelors in Electronics and Communication, Engineering from National Institute of Engineering, Calicut(formerly Regional Engineering College), and is pursuing a part-time Masters in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore.
Navanee has 14 years Industry experience and has brought multiple award-winning products to market. He had worked for 11 years at Xilinx Inc in San Jose, CA, USA on various aspects of Embedded systems both hardware and software - 5 years in Engineering and 6 years in Marketing. He is a recognized expert in FPGAs & SoCs and has delivered in-depth hands-on training to thousands of Engineers worldwide in hundreds of companies. He has won awards for various Innovative products including MicroBlaze soft processor, EDK, SDK tools and Zynq-7000 SoC (one of the leading chips used in Automotive vision applications). He holds 3 patents in the areas of processors and FPGAs. Navanee completed his Bachelors in Computer Science & Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai. He completed his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University, Utah, USA.
Devadas has over 25 years of experience in Business/IT Consulting, with association across various geographies including India, Japan, China, UK and the USA . He is a serial entreprenueur and angel investor. He is currently the CEO and co-founder of Teknowmics, a software product company established in 2010. Teknowmics released their cloud-based Content/ Document Management Solution called SmartDocs in Japan in 2011 and is slowly gaining grounds in Asian Markets. Prior toTeknowmics, he was Chief Executive Officer of the consulting firm, DTWO Solutions, a Japan Headquartered consulting firm which he founded in 2005. DTWO was acquired by CapGemini in 2012. He also held middle-senior management positions at Tata Consultancy Services; iGATE Global Solutions; and BearingPoint (now Price Water Coopers).. Devadas is also founding board member and President of TiE Japan, a global not- for- profit organization focused on promoting entrepreneurship.
